Center | Committees Finance Committee NRAAC committees are comprised of volunteers who determine the direction of the organization and its events, as well as managing day-to-day operations. The finance committee is responsible for the administrative and operating tasks of the business side of our organization and event. It will be their responsibility to legally register our organization as a business entity, likely an LLC, and then to apply for, achieve, and maintain a Section 501(c)(3) exemption for our organization, if applicable. Additionally they will be responsible for management and disbursement of any funds received via donations and grants, for the operation of our organization and event.
We need volunteers with business adminstration, legal, and financial backgrounds in these roles. Committee members may be professionals or hobbyists, and represent a variety of facets and skill sets within the community. Anyone with an interest in reptiles, amphibians and the law is welcome to volunteer for a committee. The majority of committee work is email-based and can be done during off-hours. Committee members do not have to participate in the actual Reptile and Amphibian Law Symposium to assist us in its successful production.
