Panel Discussions
Panel - Private Reptile Ownership, Ethics, and the Law

With the myriad laws and regulations starting at the International level and going all the way down to local codes and ordinances, many reptile owners break the law without even realizing they have done it. As a reptile or amphibian owner, what responsibilities do I have both legally and ethically? This 50 minute panel discussion is to review the role and impact on pet owners of laws regarding reptiles and amphibians, review issues with current or proposed regulations, and work together to determine and suggest resolutions. Afterwards participants will be allowed to "break out" into smaller groups to continue the discussion informally.

If you know of specific examples of problems or issues with pet ownership and laws on reptiles and amphibians we may list here, please contact us.

Panelists are invited by our panels commmittee. To suggest a panelist or to volunteer your services for our panels committee to help us determine the best panelists, please contact us.
